First Annual Breakfast with Santa a Jolly Success

Jackson Pase smiles big for his photo with Santa!Despite the snowy weather, MOM'S INC. Preschool and Childcare saw a great turnout for their First Annual Breakfast with Santa Claus special event on  Saturday, December 14 at the Elks in Lock Haven. The free event was intended to provide families at their Lock Haven and Jersey Shore centers with a fun, festive and family oriented activity during the holiday season.

"Our parents are so engaged throughout the year, always participating in fundraising activities so that our kids can enjoy special events from time to time, like our Summer Pool Party every year. We realized that with budgets so tight during the holiday season, it would be really nice to also offer a free activity during December, where families could enjoy a hot breakfast together, with Santa in tow. It's the little things that go a long way towards making a difference in the community," President Carrie Pase commented.

Originally, MOM'S INC. expected only a fraction of the total number to sign up for the event, which was to be hosted at the McElhattan center's former School Age room. When nearly 200 kids and parents signed up, MOM'S INC. quickly mobilized to find a new venue that could hold so many participants. Luckily, the Elks of Lock Haven was able to set up their Ballroom space to accommodate all the guests who battled the wintry snow storm this past Saturday to enjoy the pancake, sausage and juice breakfast.

Parents and kids loved the Breakfast with Santa so much that MOM'S INC. has already booked next year's event with the Elks and Santa Claus, for the same time and date---come snow or fair weather!
